PEX
Why PEX.
PEX is flexible, so it snakes through walls and crawlspaces with far fewer cuts than rigid pipe. It doesn’t corrode, it handles a freeze better than copper, and it has fewer joints in the walls.
Copper is still available if you want it. Ask and we’ll quote both.
Questions we get
How long does a repipe take?Depends on the house. We tell you the number of days before we start, and the water is back on each evening.
Do I have to move out?No. Water is off while we’re working and on when we leave for the day.
Do you pull a permit?Yes. A repipe gets a permit and an inspection.
Can you repipe just part of the house?Yes. Sometimes one bad run is the problem. We’ll tell you if the rest is fine.

I called this SK Plumbing around 1pm during an Avimor snowstorm because my pipes had frozen. My assumption was they’d come up next day but I was wrong. Very nice gentleman plumber knocked on my door at 2:15 after driving hazardous roads from Kuna. Despite everything underground and under several feet of snow, the problem was diagnosed and fixed within an hour, including time spent waiting for the guilty pipe to thaw.
